Local Moving Services
Full furniture protection and 30 days of free storage for moves inside Denver and the surrounding metro.
A local move in Denver is not just a short drive. It is a one-way street in Baker, a freight elevator with a two-hour reservation window in LoDo, a 60-foot carry from the alley in Park Hill, and a forecast that can drop eight inches of snow in April. Our local crews plan for all of it before move day, so the estimate you sign is the invoice you pay.
We have run local moves across the metro for 12 years, roughly 1,100 a year. That volume is why our estimates hold: we already know a Cheesman Park walk-up adds about 35 minutes per flight, that most Union Station buildings require a certificate of insurance 48 hours in advance, and that a 26-foot truck cannot legally stage on parts of Tennyson Street without a permit.
What is included in every local Denver move
Blanket wrap and shrink for all upholstered and wood furniture, disassembly and reassembly of beds and table legs, floor protection, dollies, straps and tools.
Neighborhoods we move most
Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, Baker, Wash Park, Congress Park, Highlands, Sloan’s Lake, Berkeley, Five Points, RiNo, Stapleton/Central Park, Green Valley Ranch, Platt Park and University Hills. Each has its own quirks — Highlands has narrow 1910 stairwells, Central Park has HOA move-in windows, RiNo lofts have oversized freight elevators that speed the job up by an hour.
Local Delivery Timing
Most local moves wrap up in a single day, with pickup and delivery happening back to back. For larger moves, or any move covering more than 100 miles, delivery may take place the following day instead.
If you won’t be able to receive your delivery right away, whether due to a lease restriction, an unfinished closing, or any other scheduling issue on the new home, just let your salesperson know. That way, we can lock in a spot on the schedule for your ideal move-in date and make sure everything goes smoothly.
In the meantime, there’s no need to worry: we’ll store your belongings safely in our secure warehouse at no extra charge for up to 30 days, until you’re ready for delivery. Our goal is simple, get you out of your old home and settled into your new one as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Local moving FAQs for Denver
What size crew will I need for my Denver move?
A studio or one-bedroom is usually two movers and a 16-foot truck. A two-bedroom apartment is typically three movers and a 20-foot truck, and a three-bedroom house is three to four movers with a 26-foot truck. The walkthrough sets the crew size before move day so nobody is guessing on the morning of.
How long does a typical local move take?
Most one-bedroom moves finish in three to four hours, two-bedrooms in four to six, and three-bedroom houses in six to nine. Stairs, long carries and unpacked kitchens are the three things that add the most time.
Do stairs, elevators or long carries change anything?
They add time, not surcharges. That is why the estimator asks about floor level, elevator reservations and parking distance up front — those details are what make the written estimate accurate.
Can you move a piano, safe or gun safe?
Upright pianos and safes up to 600 lb are handled by a four-mover crew with a piano board and stair-climbing dolly. Grand pianos and safes over 600 lb are scoped after a quick photo review.
What if my new place is not ready on move day?
Every local move includes 30 days of free storage in our Denver warehouse. Your items stay in sealed vaults, inventoried by tag number, and we redeliver on the date you set.
Do I need to empty my dresser drawers?
Leave folded clothing in dressers under six drawers — we shrink-wrap them shut. Empty anything with glass, liquids or heavy items, and never leave jewelry, documents or medication in furniture.
How do you protect floors and walls in older Denver homes?
Neoprene runners on hardwood, ram board on stairs, door-jamb protectors on every threshold and corner guards on tight stairwells — standard on every job, especially in Baker, Congress Park and Wash Park where doorways are narrow.

How a Logistic Pro local move runs
1. Walkthrough and written estimate
A 15-minute video or in-home survey. We count boxes, flag specialty items, check parking and stairs, then send a written estimate with the crew size and hour range in writing.
2. Move plan and permits
We confirm your building's COI requirements, reserve the freight elevator, and pull a Denver Public Works parking-lane permit when the truck cannot legally stage in front of the door.
3. Protection before lifting
Floor runners, door-jamb guards and stair protection go down first. Every soft item is blanket-wrapped and shrink-sealed; mirrors, glass tops and TVs go in custom cartons.
4. Load, transport, place
The crew loads by room so unloading is fast, drives on our commercial insurance, and places each item where you point — including bed reassembly and one furniture rearrangement at no charge.

Moving across Denver in the middle of winter had me so stressed, especially with the icy sidewalks and freezing mornings. The team showed up right on time and handled everything so carefully, even laying down protection to keep snow from getting tracked inside.
